Obama's earned every stripe in this haloed rainbow http://t.co/NDOV3Vs7

Barack Obama was cheated out of being the first black president by Bill Clinton. But Newsweek’s finest halo (gay-lo?) Photoshopper has stepped in to make sure Obamael gets credit for another historic “first”:
What, no rainbow-feathered wings?
The cover story is written by speculum-toting Trig Truther Andrew Sullivan, the Daily Beast’s resident investigative gynecologist. So you know it’s completely level-headed analysis.
The Twitterverse weighed in:
In keeping w/ the left's identification of people by what they support, Newsweek says Obama is "first gay president." abcn.ws/IS8n5J—

.@davidaxelrod must have crapped himself when he saw this cover. Are @Newsweek & @SullyDish trying to kill his campaign? is.gd/24w9Nl—

Oh. my. GOD. –> j.mp/KjXcYp (via @Jaycaruso). This isn't just what media bias looks like. It's worse than that.—
Ken Gardner (@kesgardner) May 13, 2012
If Obama is the "first gay president", according to Newsweek, why isn't Dick Cheney the first gay VP?—
Matthew DesOrmeaux (@cynicusprime) May 13, 2012
Newsweek thinks Obama is the "First Gay President?" This is going to prove as absurd as Clinton as the "First Black President." #headpalm—

Time and Newsweek compete for dumbest magazine covers ever politico.com/blogs/media/20…—
Anthony De Rosa (@AntDeRosa) May 13, 2012
Apparently Newsweek has definitively debunked those rumors about James Buchanan.—
James Taranto (@jamestaranto) May 13, 2012
When will @SenRandPaul apologize for calling Obama the first gay president?—
James Taranto (@jamestaranto) May 13, 2012
@ExJon Axelrod can thank his lucky stars that Newsweek didn't release that cover Easter week.—
Sam Valley (@SamValley) May 13, 2012
@KatMcKinley It's insanity; especially since Newsweek's dwindling readership skews so old. @bdomenech—
Jon G. (@ExJon) May 13, 2012
Should Obama lose, things like latest @Newsweek cover will be in a lot of ledes. "He was too bold, too soon." Etc.—
Ben Domenech (@bdomenech) May 13, 2012
If a Republican had photoshopped this cover, he/she would be labeled a raging homphobe/homophone. And a racist. is.gd/24w9Nl—

I am Proud of My Gay President.—

Um, that wasn't exactly what Obama announced. RT @politico: Newsweek's cover: "The First Gay President" politi.co/JLt3QN—
Seth Masket (@smotus) May 13, 2012
@JoeMyGod what a stupid cover. POTUS is gay because he supports #marriageequality? New Yorker cover got it right—
Tom Becktold (@becktold) May 13, 2012
UPDATE:
It seems Twitchy isn’t alone in calling The One’s halo a gay-lo:
Really, Tina Brown? You went with the gaylo for the Newsweek cover? Really? politico.com/blogs/media/20…—
James Skylar Gerrond (@JimmySky) May 13, 2012
Has anyone coined the term "gaylo" for gay halo yet? Otherwise it's mine. I mean, the coining of it, not… y'know.—
el SOOPer (@SooperMexican) May 13, 2012
Newsweek's Gaylo cover marks the start of another bad week for the Obama campaign.—
