Woman calls Obama treasonous, Romney doesn’t denounce her; Left throws a hissyfit

At an Ohio town hall event this afternoon, all hell broke loose! At least according to liberals:

After a woman told Romney she believed President Obama “should be tried for treason,” the candidate failed to condemn or even address the remark in his response. (He expressed disagreement later at the rope line, when reporters asked him about it.)

See for yourself!

Can you believe it? Can you??? A member of Romney’s audience suggested Obama is guilty of treason, and Romney didn’t condemn her on the spot? But when someone heckled Romney during a speech last week, calling him a “f*cking racist,” Obama immediately denounced the heckler and stuck up for his opponent. Oh, wait … *crickets chirping*

Yeah, see, that’s the thing: Barack Obama, to whom Mitt Romney has referred as a “nice guy,” certainly hasn’t swooped in to save Romney’s reputation. Obama’s minions, a group that includes the mainstream media, haven’t stepped up to the plate, either.

And conservatives weren’t about to let that slide. Conservative Twitter supastah Jon G. let the lefties have it. And he let ’em have it good:

Jon wasn’t the only one swinging the hammer; others rightly called the liberals out on their hypocrisy and double standards:

And Frank Fleming tied it all up in a neat, beautiful bow:

Even John McCain had the honor and courage to courteously correct a misinformed dedicated Republican. I don’t see Romney standing up to foreign leaders if he can’t stand up to his own base.

    • Botzilla

Compared to dear leader that only apologizes to foreign leaders, and terrorists, and to anyone else who will listen.

Hey, maybe she’ll be the next Joe the Plumber, and the MSM will vet the hell out of her, and then the oh-so-civil liberals can send her their characteristic misogynistic hate mail and death threats.

A Romney apology would not have been good enough for the left. Ignore them and they will self destruct.

Mitt gave the right answer. He didn’t agree with her as she may have wanted him to do (even thogh most of US do). Bt he didn’t disagree either. That’s why HE is the candidate, and we aren’t. And Mitt didn’t take the bait and lob any more tar balls at an already blackened President!

if the tables were turned, do you think obama would have defended romney? hell no.

The woman is only voicing what many are thinking.

Romney has the liberal panties in a twist. They fear him because in their dark hearts they know Obama is a politically social failure.
Liberals would rather go down with a sinking ship than to admit that their guy is a waste.
    Liberals are unteachable and indifferent.

    Romney showed remarkable restraint.

Obama made a speech in El Paso near the Mexican boarder last year and was criticizing Republicans in his normal shtick. As heard from the crowd on the live broadcast a supporter shouted, “They’re RACIST”!!!

The non-heckler was referring to what the President was speaking of, Republicans…and, Obama said nothing. He smiled and appeared to be in agreement. That was the apparent message to the crowd.

    Republicans are Racist.

Whitehouse.Gov had the transcript of this speech and included the shouts from the crowd “(They’re Racist)”

Obama didn’t denounce that offensive language during his speech or anytime afterwards. In fact, it seems the official message from the President of the United States was that Republicans are Racist.

    Now, isn’t that special?

Here’s the Official Whitehouse transcript of that day…still up on Obama’s whitehouse.gov :

“So, here’s the point. I want everybody to listen carefully to this. We have gone above and beyond what was requested by the very Republicans who said they supported broader reform as long as we got serious about enforcement. All the stuff they asked for, we’ve done. But even though we’ve answered these concerns, I’ve got to say I suspect there are still going to be some who are trying to move the goal posts on us one more time.

      AUDIENCE MEMBER: They’re racist!

THE PRESIDENT: You know, they said we needed to triple the Border Patrol. Or now they’re going to say we need to quadruple the Border Patrol. Or they’ll want a higher fence. Maybe they’ll need a moat. (Laughter.) Maybe they want alligators in the moat. (Laughter.) They’ll never be satisfied. And I understand that. That’s politics.”
