To the shock of many, 26-year-old Norwegian Olympic swimmer Alexander Dale Oen passed away on Monday. According to reports, Dale Oen suffered cardiac arrest while taking a shower after a strenuous training session.
The Norwegian was considered a frontrunner for gold at the upcoming Olympics in London. He won the silver medal in the 100-meter breaststroke at the 2008 Olympics and he took gold in the distance at last year’s World Championships in Shanghai.
Norwegian swimmer, and gold medalist from the last World Champs, Alexander Dale Oen, has passed away. RIP, Alexander, You touched a nation.—
