Virginia Tech basketball didn’t need long to replace Seth Greenberg. It only took the Hokies a week to hire a new coach!
Today the team has decided to bring back former assistant James Johnson who just recently left Virgina Tech’s staff for a position with Clemson. Johnson spent 5 years as Greenberg’s assistant before initially leaving the school.
With the hiring of James Johnson, Virginia Tech increases their chances of keeping top 2012 recruit Montrezl Harrell on board.—

James Johnson? Meh. Hopefully he can keep the team together and rope the recruits back in.—

Good move for James Johnson if you think about it. He will take over talented Virginia Tech program and fulfill his lifelong dream.—

James Johnson — tireless worker, energetic presence, great guy, players love him, sharp recruiter, but no head coaching experience.—

James Johnson went to Clemson, realized they suck, drove back to Blacksburg—
