With the NFL Draft starting on Thursday, you’d think most top draft prospects would be laying low and trying to stay out of trouble. That’s not the case for former Nebraska Cornhuskers star cornerback and top NFL draft prospect, Alfonzo Dennard.
Dennard is spending his time preparing for the draft by getting drunk, fighting at bars and punching a few cops in the face.
Police said it took 4 officers to take Alfonzo Dennard into custody.. Interesting way to show your strength to the NFL scouts.. I like it.—

Lincoln police said Dennard, 22, was fighting with another man outside a bar near 14th and O Streets about 2:15 a.m. When officers attempted to intervene, Dennard allegedly pushed and then punched one officer in the face. It took four cops to take Dennard into custody, according to police. … Dennard was arrested on suspicion of third-degree assault on an officer and resisting arrest. He was also cited for third-degree assault in connection with the bar fight.
The cornerback was expected to be a second or third round draft pick, but now he’ll be lucky to get drafted at all.
Hey Alfonso Dennard, fighting with cops 5 days before the draft-probably not wise. Lockdown corner? Locked up corner?—
