Roseanne Barr posts document from '@lynchzimmerman'

This morning Green Party presidential candidate Roseanne Barr retweeted a Seminole County, Fla.,  Sheriff’s Office document posted by Twitter user @lynchzimmerman:

The document — apparently a copy of a letter George Zimmerman wrote in an application for a job as a police officer — contains Zimmerman’s home address, email address, land line, and cell phone number.  His Social Security number and Driver’s License, however, are blacked out.

Twitchy has not confirmed whether the document is authentic or whether the address, e-mail address, and phone numbers are still correct. Zimmerman now reportedly lives in Sanford, Fla., not Lake Mary, Fla., which suggests that Zimmerman moved since applying for this job.

Twitter user @jasondgable pointed out to Barr what she had done.

In response to Gable,  Barr said she hadn’t seen Zimmerman’s address in the document she retweeted and stated that she wanted to delete her Twitter account.

She subsequently deleted her entire Twitter account, then restored it. However, at the time of this writing, Barr’s retweet to the @lynchzimmerman document is still up.

Twitchy asked Barr whether she regretted retweeting material posted by someone named “@lynchzimmerman.” She kindly responded. Although we don’t understand her response, we post the exchange below.

Update: Some are saying Twitchy was wrong to republish the @lynchzimmerman document:

In response to these concerns, we have decided to remove the document from our site. Readers who wish to see it can get it by clicking here.

On a related note, it should be noted that many news outlets and websites published the incorrect George Zimmerman address that Spike Lee retweeted last weekend. See, for example, the The Smoking GunTampa Bay TimesMashable,  The Examiner, and The Blaze.

Sad how far some people will go when they realize they are irrelevent..

  • Hammerhead7

Zimmerman ****ed himself the moment he engaged after he was told not to.

    This was completely preventable.

Listen to all of the 911 tape not just NBC’s edited version, the dispatcher told him to stop and he replied  “OK” and headed back to his truck.

Stupid what she did – but also stupid to spread it further on this site.  I have never found myself in a position to defend Roseanne, but she is right about one thing.  When you publish it here (or a link to it elsewhere) you are doing the exact same thing she did.  Not cool.

No they aren’t doing the same thing, Roseanne wanted to give out the address AGAIN. She chose to find that name and and spread CRAP and cause HARM! she was stopped, AGAIN! Stop spreading lies and posting ppls addresses, it’s DANGEROUS, does Roseanne care someone will be HURT OR KILLED BY A MOB, NO, she did it TWICE, what is wrong with her???

  • TAMjeanee

I suggest ppl read Trayvon’s tweets, he knew who Zimmerman was and tweeted he would do something to him, where’s the outrage for all the kids in Chicago being slaughtered?? All the senseless deaths of white, mexican, blacks, whoever, nothin, this is political and it’s being pushed and pushed by race baiter’s for Obama, it’s disgusting.  All who have been killed is a tragedy,  this won’t change with new gun laws like the Dems want and they know it, would be 10x’s worse, disgusting what ppl like Roseanne will do, enough!
