This morning Green Party presidential candidate Roseanne Barr retweeted a Seminole County, Fla., Sheriff’s Office document posted by Twitter user @lynchzimmerman:
The document – apparently a copy of a letter George Zimmerman wrote in an application for a job as a police officer — contains Zimmerman’s home address, email address, land line, and cell phone number. His Social Security number and Driver’s License, however, are blacked out.
Twitchy has not confirmed whether the document is authentic or whether the address, e-mail address, and phone numbers are still correct. Zimmerman now reportedly lives in Sanford, Fla., not Lake Mary, Fla., which suggests that Zimmerman moved since applying for this job.
Twitter user @jasondgable pointed out to Barr what she had done.
@TheRealRoseanne i just don't want you to get in trouble again. his address and phone number are in that letter—

In response to Gable, Barr said she hadn’t seen Zimmerman’s address in the document she retweeted and stated that she wanted to delete her Twitter account.
@JasonDGable I didnt see anything like that! it doesnt say that!??? how do i delete this account please? I can't handle this anymore—

I have made another twitter mistake-I am going to delete my account now, as I guess I just dont understand hw twitter works-how do u delete?—

She subsequently deleted her entire Twitter account, then restored it. However, at the time of this writing, Barr’s retweet to the @lynchzimmerman document is still up.
Twitchy asked Barr whether she regretted retweeting material posted by someone named “@lynchzimmerman.” She kindly responded. Although we don’t understand her response, we post the exchange below.
.@TheRealRoseanne is it wise to retweet a document posted by someone named '@lynchzimmerman'? bit.ly/HvwxYo—

Update: Some are saying Twitchy was wrong to republish the @lynchzimmerman document:
@TheRealRoseanne @TwitchyTeam @lynchzimmerman Never thought Id defend Roseanne, but its no better for twitchy to post the doc on their site?—
Rob Stevely (@tebuckey) April 01, 2012
@TwitchyTeam @TheRealRoseanne Yea but you couldve blacked out the addy.—

In response to these concerns, we have decided to remove the document from our site. Readers who wish to see it can get it by clicking here.
On a related note, it should be noted that many news outlets and websites published the incorrect George Zimmerman address that Spike Lee retweeted last weekend. See, for example, the The Smoking Gun, Tampa Bay Times, Mashable, The Examiner, and The Blaze.
